How ONE post gave me £20,833!

WHY is it that you allow others who would never enter into social mobility to influence YOU, keeping you shackled to what they believe is right for you?

Seize the moments and make your go to "Believe In You" through your positive steps.

Camille Lansiquot

Social mobility.  The same words mean different things to different people.
One person's need to live a better life, is another person's view of an upstart.
As the more you ask WHY?, the more you dare to become.”
Joseph Hendricks Cepal

So often we underestimate our talents and connections to people. Locally. Nationally. Internationally.

Honestly. Each and everyone one of us has the ability to take small steps that can lead to something big.

Too many of you do not make those steps and wonder why opportunity is not knocking at your door! Plus, you are fuming when the opportunities are not coming thick and fast in the time that you want them to come.

A month ago I was speaking to a client and I was smiling to myself as to how this good fortune landed on my silver salver.
Do you want to know how this good fortune arrived? Yes? Then I shall begin.

1. At the very beginning of Positive Steps Into Social Mobility I had written and shared the story of where I came from, what I went through in life and how I used social mobility to help me at each stage of my life as a solution to moving forward in life.

2. Out of the blue, a total stranger sent me a kind message: "Wow! I can relate to you. I am a housewife.  I came from a poor neighbourhood.  The wrong side of the tracks.  Now, I spend my days managing a beautiful home that my husband has worked hard for. I went to school, but not university. I worked in a top New York department store and that is how I met my first husband. Divorced and on partner number three I feel trapped in this life of opulence. I am encouraged by your confidence and ability to participate with different people in social mobility. Can we talk in private?"

3. I personally felt a connection to this lady. We arranged a date and time to speak over the telephone.

4. It transpired that she was never taught well in her role as a hostess. That she still felt at odds with this role and whereby she learned by observations and following examples of other women that merely tolerated her because of whom she was living with.

5. I shared my experiences with her and she understood. It all felt as though she was looking for a kindred spirit to connect to. Although our lives were vastly different in parts we had many similarities. Even though she is white and I am Black.

6. It is through the conversation that we had, where I offered the silver service event of Positive Steps Into Social Mobility. Although it appealed to her she wanted something else. She told me her dreams and from this I suggested a schooling package covering three months at a cost of £20,833 (old price by the way). She jumped at it. In fact, she thought it was a bargain!

7. Once the client paid up front in total; I did not even have to chase her for payment, I went away and put together a package for her. I had some information as to what she did and did not like and that made the co-ordination of locations and other inclusions so much easier. Very soon I returned to her and presented her with an itinerary covering three months.

8. Those three months strengthened her engagement with guests in her own voice. In her own personality. Making her feel better for the first time in her life, in her own skin, covering a number of scenarios.

To cut a long story short. The whole situation was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. The people that helped me put the itinerary together were professional and amazing. Nothing was to much trouble.

Last month she had hosted an event and she had informed me that she thoroughly enjoyed it and it was all thanks to the itinerary that I had set up for her quite a while ago. She even enjoyed being a guest and watching those women who had tolerated her, struggling with their own events; most notably bored, obnoxious and shallow guests.

Every now and again this client meets up with me, more for a chat than for training, but she is happy to make the payments because she receives much from our communication.

People. All of this started from ONE blogpost!

Time to get started on this journey of yours and get you ready for opportunity

WHY is it that you allow others who would never enter into social mobility influence YOU, keeping you shackled to what they believe?

HOW is it that you are living your life for them? For the growing number of people that are holding you back from what you truly want to do. That is.  Moving ahead in life.

WHEN instead you turn DEAF, DUMB and BLIND to social mobility.

WHERE the sole purpose of combined steps increases opportunities to seek you, yet you run away from it.

Social Mobility (definition and meaning)
Social mobility is the movement of individuals, like you. Families like yours. Plus, other categories of people similar to you who are within or between a social strata in a society. The mobility is a change in social status relative to your social location within a given society.

The movement can be in a downward or upward direction. There are numerous methods and techniques to access social mobility through Absolute Social Mobility and Relative Social Mobility.

Absolute social mobility refers to the overall numbers of people like you who end up in a different layer of stratification from that of their parents.

Relative social mobility refers to the differences in opportunities for someone like you in attaining a certain outcome, regardless of overall structural changes.
The use of social mobility for you is important in providing pathways to greater equality in societies with high social inequality.

Social Mobility is most often measured in terms of a change in economic mobility, such as changes in income or wealth. Occupation is another measure used in social mobility.

In general, social mobility is highly dependent on the overall structure of social statuses and occupations in a given society. Different times of history and different locations around the world place variables on social mobility, such as your gender, ethnicity and age in order to regulate the level of movement into social mobility.

As we are at the start of the 21st Century, the momentum for awareness and empowerment from social mobility is being awakened in ordinary people who see a brighter future for themselves through various advancements, for example technology and spirituality.

You desire a better future for yourself. You want a better future for yourself. You must have a better future for yourself.

Ordinary people desire a better future. Ordinary people want a better future. For themselves. For their children. For their community. This is as more and more people become connected and knowledgeable of the potential for opportunities.

Do you know the saying "God helps those who help themselves."  Well, it is true.  You shall know how to help yourself as soon as you recognise to "Believe In You".
